Athletics:

Students in 7th and 8th grade are encouraged to participate in our interschool sports program at Columbia. To participate, each student must have on file in the main office a parent permission form and a current physical examination form (the physical is good for one year from date of physical).

Each participant must also have medical insurance coverage either through a private company or you may purchase the school insurance.

The middle school athletic fee is $33.00 per sport. The maximum amount to be paid by a family with two or more students participating in athletics in the same school will be limited to $99.00 per school year. The maximum amount to be paid by a family with one athlete will be $66.00 per school year.

Students shall not be denied participation due to indigence in any class, program or sport for non-payment of fees. The principal may waive payment of fees where the student is judged to be indigent.

PHYSICAL EXAM, PERMISSION FORMS AND INSURANCE INFORMATION MUST BE ON FILE AND THE FEES PAID BEFORE THE STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO BEGIN PRACTICE.

Below are the beginning and ending dates for each of the sports available at Columbia Middle School (for the 2016-2017 School Year). Game and practice schedules will also be given to students by their coaches. All students must meet eligibility requirements to participate in games.
